Churro Oreos
V- Of course it's creative! I've never had churro-creme sandwiched between cinnamon Oreos until the churreos hit the shelves. Elevated churros often have dulce de leche, cinnamon, or chocolate filling in the middle, so the concept lends itself beautifully to a sandwich cookie.
B- The concept is great. I am surprised not too see more churro-style cookies; the flavor translates really well into cookie form.
V- The flavors are all there! They're seriously so good. The cookie tastes like it was coated in sugar crystals, while the creme tastes like warm cinnamon. However, the texture and shape are still important to the churro experience. I would have loved to see these elements incorporated, but it's still a great cookie!
B- They captured the taste and mouth-feel really well! There was a good balance between the cinnamon sugar and fried dough flavors. I give them a little more credit than V regarding the texture because I felt that the crystallization achieved some of this.
B- Pair with mocha iced coffee. The chocolate would complement the churro and the coffee to ensure it doesn't become overly sweet. Or, for the adult-beverage-seekers: Rumchata.
V- Pair with red wine (never white) or black coffee. If you are of the bourgeoise, pair it with a chocolate white Russian.
V- I would absolutely buy these again. I know many people who liked them, so they would be easy to share.
B- I did buy again :)
B- I might like these even better than churros because the lack of loose sugar means way less mess. Kudos, Nabisco!
V- I LOVE when an international flavor is done well! Yay!
