Halloween Oreos
B- Considering they've been around as long as they have, I don't find them as creative as they could be. Halloween is a staple dessert theme. I do like the orange, but for me it's more classic than creative.
V- Agreed! The Halloween Oreos are the traditional vanilla-creme cookies with bright orange, seasonal flair. They have charming little designs and messages on the cookies, including the painfully adorable "Dare to Dunk." Although Halloween is often associated with the scary and grotesque, these cookies are simply cute and fun.
V- From the orange creme to the spooky designs, you know you are looking at a Halloween Oreo! If you left them out at night, a friendly ghost or werewolf or creature of the night would likely come to investigate. I am buying what Nabisco is selling!
B - The bright orange color falls (pun intended) within the expected scheme - autumn leaves, pumpkins, squash, etc. I think the designs are all relevant as well. There's spider webs, witches, ghosts, jack-o'-lanterns, and "dare to dunk." I'm glad they switch the designs up from year to year. Although vampires will always be a personal favorite Halloween creature which I'd love to see.
Does it Sparkle?
V- The orange creme might scare some people away? It pairs so naturally though with the dark brown cookies that you immediately get the Halloween aesthetic. The cookie designs themselves are as crisp as the first day of fall!
V- All things pumpkin spice. Tis the season! For kids, they would make a great garnish for the gummy worm "dirt cups."
B- Anything. It's a classic Oreo. I had them with coffee, with milk, with peanut butter. It would make a very good addition to the [masked] Halloween party table, a scary movie marathon, or [virtual] game night with friends.
V- Yes! Next Halloween!
B- Good but predictable. And, like the intro hinted at, they did also taste fresher for some reason. It's a mystery...
